2001 Polaris Edge XCSP 800 Longtrack

Vehicle Description

Up for auction is my 2001 XCSP 800 longtrack. I have owned this sled for 5 years now and it has been one of the best sleds I have ever owned. Has 800 non-ves motor (yes it came that way), Polaris 136 extension kit installed (no extension brackets 1 piece Polaris slide rails) Camoplast 15×136x1.5 track, reverse, electric fuel gauge, volt meter (I got it since it has a battery and also to monitor the charging system) and electric start which needs the starter motor replaced. If winning bidder wishes, I can remove the electric start, or If you want to pay for a new starter motor, I will install it free of charge, let me know before auctions end, otherwise it is up to you to replace. They run between $75-100 on here. I replaced it once and the new one didn’t last very long so I didn’t bother with it after that, it starts fine with the pull starter anyway. There has been some clutch work done to the sled also. It has a custom helix in the secondary, and we wound the spring a little tighter, this makes it backshift so nice I rarely have to use my brakes. It has a handle bar riser block because I prefer to stand while riding, it is easily removed if you don’t like it. This sled had a blown motor when I purchased it, and was unuseable, so I bought a used one and had it completly rebuilt, and I have only put about 2000 mi on it since then, but it has been used every year. Sled also has a SLP exhaust system on it (Y-pipe, expansion chamber, and can) but it has seen better days, the expansion chamber has been welded numerous times due to cracking, and probably has cracked more this year. I will work something out with the winning bidder if this is a problem, as I am sure I can find a stock exhaust for it somewhere. Sled has not been crashed and has the tightest steering of any Edge I have ridden (no slop in the heim joints). Has Fox Shox all around, but I ditched the rear Position sensitive shock for a Fox clicker, which is a far better shock. The shocks were rebuilt 2 years ago and have very few miles on them. I used to get them rebuilt every year but my shock guy told me I was wasting my money. The Hi/Low headlight switch came apart (apparently this is a common problem for these sleds and they get almost $100 used for them on here) so I just wired the headlight on high and never had a problem. The seat has a rip in it and rear bumper has seen better days also. Overall this sled is in great shape, and the longtrack has proven to be very useful over the years, it definately … Click For More Info
